The Tale Of Inuyasha:
There once lived a great dog demon, his name went by the word of Inutaishou, his might was constantly faetal and as his reputation built he became known across all of the lands of Japan. But during the times of war he fought, weilding three swords of great power, two being forged by Totosai the sword-smith, the other a great evil born from the depths of hell. Inutaishou had once been mated to a beautiful, stunning and lets not forget graceful dog demon, thus they had a son who went by the name of Sesshoumaru (killing perfection). Yet after so many years, the great demon lord fell in love with a mortal, a princess of the Eastern Lands, Izayoi. She was beautiful all in oneself, her face elegant and complex.
War still raged on and when the princess went into labor with the great dod demon's pup, many within her home shunned her, this also including the general who had also loved her dearly, Takemaru. On the night Izayoi had given birth to her dearest son, the great dog demon had just finished his battle with the dragon demon, Ryūkotsusei. Upon arriving at the catsle where his dearest beloved lay, he became maddened to find what had befallen upon her for Takemaru had killed her very self. Enraged he broke into the castle grounds, killing many with his sword from earth, Testuseiga. Entering the bathing chambers, he ran to his beloved's side and drew his sword from heaven, Tenseiga. Swiping away the death carriers from hell, he brought Izayoi back into the world of the living.
Takemaru having had his arm cut off when Inutaishou had broke into the castle, seeked revenge against the great dog demon. Entering the birthing chambers after ordering the castle guards to set the place on fire, he found the love of his life alive once again. He then vowled to take the great dog demon with him to hell as he charged into battle against the greatest being of all time. Inutaishou had suspected such and when the flames had threatened to harm his beloved he had entrusted ehr with his robe of the fire rat, a robe immune to the heat of fire and sharp objects, and along with such he gave her his last words in farewell.
"Inuyasha, the infants name shall be Inuyasha, now go!"
These very words had made the princess to flead, both she and her son weeped at the lost they soon felt, both witnessing the death of the great dog demon as he fell to his death, the castle impaling his body into flames. Ever since then Izayoi had to raise her son without his father, such times were difficult and all she could do was stay strong and hope for the survival of her son.
Slowly she aged until one day her death wa fatal, never would her son be able to see her very soul again. After her death Inuyasha was chased from both demons and humans, had being kicked out of the castle his mother once lived in, he had to fend for himself. Over many yearas he learned to trust no one. That was until he met the priestess and protecter of the jewel, Kikyou.
Kikyou had been a graciously powerful priestess and once when she had fought demons alongside an evil priestess Tsubaki, the evil priestess had bestowed a curse upon her for if kikyou were to ever fall in love, a bad fate was in hand and she would die. Kikyou however paid no heed to the curse, saying she would never be one to fall in love. Not soon after such, the jewel ahd been entrusted to Kikyou's care, never would any being allowed to touch the power-filled jewel, for if they did, great wickedness and greed would fall upon the lands. Kikyou as promised had protected the jewel carefully yet one ongoer she could not destroy, no matter how many times he tried to take it from her, she could never bring herself to kill him, never once could she kill the half-demon Inuyasha. Soon she and the half-demon became friends and slowly their friendship developed into love, if only they had been aware of the trickery an evil being planned to bestow upon them, if only...
Kikyou being a priestess had to tend to those ill or wounded, thus coming across an injured bandit within a cave, she had to care for him. The bandit however was fascinated with Kikyou, her gentle nature made his very self infatuated with her, everything about Kikyou he loved, thus being evil he wished to use the jewel to become her lover for all of eternity. Though being trapped in a cave the rumours of the jewel had reached his knowledge before such and during such times he was able to view over the knowledge of the jewel and interpret a plan to attain it. Speaking to Kikyou's younger sister, Kaede, or as he reffered to the small child as 'young lass', he was able to evident more knowledge of the jewel and it's protector. Soon Onigumo had a plan forged, all that he required was to become strong enough to attain the jewel. Such a task though became easy when demons had offered him an interesting trade. If they were to feed on his flesh and soul, he would become one with them, therefore able to attain the jewel, such a trade was indeed promising and Onigumo accepted such, yet if he had been aware of what would occur to himself, he would not have done such.
The demons had devoured every part of Onigumo yet when they became one, a new being was created, this being having more strength over Onigumo than he had himself. The strength became the very main soul within the new being, thus a new name was attained, the evil being who seeked the jewel and would bestow trickery upon Inuyasha and Kikyou, Naraku.
Kikyou and Inuyasha had planned to use the jewel and rid them both of the burdens they carried, Inuyasha having being a half demon planned to become a human and then Kikyou would no longer need to protect the jewel therefore she would be able to live a free life as a woman with Inuyasha. Such a plan was never t occur though, because the wish beign put upon the jewel was selfish no matter how innocent it seemed. Both lovers' fates had been sealed the moment they fell in love, they were to be seperated by an evil trickery and one would die from such.
Naraku was an evil demon and was able to take upon the form of any being, such a replica would be hard to misplace, so in order to trick the two lovers who both protected the jewel, he would have to make them both believe that they, themselves betrayed each other.
Kikyou had awoken early morning and had gone out into the fields where she waited for her beloved to come see her, yet when she was abruptly slashed across the back and the jewel was quikly taken from her hand, she felt betrayal, how coudl and why would her love do this to her? The following words were said between the two:
"I had no desire to become human whatsoever but thank you for the jewel, I will now become the full-blooded demon I desired."
"Why Inuyasha, traitor, traitor!"
Kiykou had helplessely watched as the being to whom she thought was Inuyasha made off with the jewel but little did she know it was all a lie, a fake appearance.
Naraku after tricking Kikyou had quickly taken the form of the priestess, thus travelling to where Inuyasha waited he used the arrows and placidly shot at the half-demon, therefore stating his meaning of her betrayal towards Inuaysha.
Inuyasha feeling betrayed, ran into the village and stole the jewel, this being after he set the place on fire, his anger evident in every way. Running into the forest he tried to avid the injured Kiykou but when she unsuspectedly shot him with the sealing arrow to the sacred tree, he was forced to abandon the jewel and fall into a forever lasting slumber.
Not soon after her sealing arrow, Kikyou had collapsed to the ground, and beckoned Kaede towards her, once her dear sister stood close enough she spoke the follwing.
"Burn my body with the jewel and let it become ashes so that I may protect it even in death."
Such a similar phrase was said before the prietess died, her last breath having been heaved with her words. Kikyou had died.
Five hundred years in the future lived a fifteen year old teenager who went by the name of Kagome. She had lived with her family at the Higurashi shrine for many years, thus her relatives had lived there generations and generations before she. One day on her fifteenth birthday, her cat Buyo had ran down into the well and with Kagome's brother, Souta, being too much of a coward to go down and fetch their beloved feline, Kagome had done the simple task instead. Yet what she did not expect was for her body to be pulled into the well and travelled back 500 years in the past to another era or the feudal era to be exact. There she met many friends along the way this including Inuyasha himself who she had managed to release from a tree when being chased by a demon, Shippou a fox child or kitsune to whom she considered her son, Miroku a perverted or hentai houshi (monk), Sango a skilled taijiya (demon slayer) and her companion the nekomata Kirara (cat demon). Through their journeys they had a mission, you see Kagome was a miko from the future yet when she had landed in feudal japan she had managed to shatter the sacred jewel where it's shards had flown to various places all over Japan. Naraku still being alive was also after the shikon no tama, thus there were many battles ahead for them all, this also including Inuyasha's elder brother Sesshoumaru who fell upon Naraku's tirickery and seeked revenge.
Now they all seeked the death of the hanyou Naraku and the completion of the shikon no tama.
